Sometimes reality can be too much. Bills, student loan repayments, broken dishwashers, dinners to cook, babies to bathe, and overwhelming responsibilities. Sometimes I just need a break. My way of escape is losing myself in a good book. I've always been a reader. I feel like I've lived a million lives through the books I've read. When I read I don't have to worry about how I'm going to swing the bills this month or when I'll find time to wash the dishes piled in the sink. I lose myself in the characters and their lives, experiencing the things I'll never get to feel, see, or do in my little life. For me, reading books is like watching the most amazing movie I've ever seen in my head. Every night I manage to squirrel away a little bit of time to read, sometimes falling into bed so exhausted I can only read a few pages. Other times I literally can't put a book down because it's so good. When I read I fell filled up and satisfied and the stress of the day is kept at bay, for just awhile.
