Grandma and Grandpa

Jackson loves his Grandma and Grandpa sooo much. My mom is the one who watches Jackson while I work several days a week and he just loves spending time with his Grandma. They always go shopping at Target and Costco, his two favorite places. He also likes my mom's dogs and they love giving him kisses. He laughs and laughs when they lick his nose and then he grabs their fur and they run away. Grandma likes to give him all sorts of food he's not supposed to eat like Slurpies, cookies, and ice cream. Grandma is way more fun than mommy!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebrating with both sides of the family. We started off at Ryan's mom's house and enjoyed some fabulous food before heading over to my mom's for even more food! It was great getting to spend time with family and did I mention that the food was amazing! I wish every day was Thanksgiving!

Happy Easter!

We were lucky enough to celebrate Easter with both of our families this year! The weekend before Easter we celebrated with my mom and had a wonderful dinner and got to spend plenty of time together as a family. Easter afternoon we spent with Ryan's Mom. The kids had an egg hunt and we enjoyed more delicious food!

I then went up to my Grandma's house in Paradise Valley and got to spend some time with my Dad's side of the family. It was so nice to see everyone and spend time together!

A Goodbye

My Great Grandma passed away on February 2, 2009 from health complications due to a broken hip. On February 21, 2009 the whole family gathered together to say goodbye and celebrate her life. Although it was a sad occasion we had so many happy memories to share and we celebrated the fact that she had lived a full life of 92 years. It was so nice to be able to spend time together as a family since we are such a large one and aren't often able to get everyone together. My Great Grandma had two daughters, 6 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren! Pictured above are all of the great-children, my Great Aunt Joan's side of the family, and my Grandma Judy's side of the family.

Go Cards!!

While I must admit I am quite the "fair weather" fan, I too was extremely proud to see the Arizona Cardinals make it to the Superbowl this year. I have a huge soft spot for Kurt Warner and I adore the fact that he openly talks about his faith to everyone who will listen. I even made t-shirts for Ryan and I, which you can see in the above picture. We have such a dynamic team and they absolutely deserved to go all the way. We are SO proud of how far they got and the absolute sportsmanship they showed in the game!

Christmas Day 2008

Christmas morning we had all to ourselves and enjoyed relaxing while Landen opened his gifts. Then we were off to my dad's. We got quite the rainstorm and enjoyed a chilly Christmas for once! It was wonderful seeing all of our friends and family!

Christmas Eve 2008

What a busy Christmas! We had so many places to go and so many people to see on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! I love the sights and sounds of the season, but I was really ready for it to be over! On Christmas Eve we traveled to my mom's house for dinner and church. As soon as we were done opening presents we were off to Ryan's mom's house and then scooted home to make it in time for Santa's visit.

Baby Justin is Growing Up!

Our new nephew Justin is growing up fast! He now weighs 11 pounds 8 ounces and is eating like a champ! His nickname is "tank" and he is turning out to be a very easy-going baby who enjoys being cuddled and held. He makes the cutest little sounds in his sleep when you hold him and he is already holding his head up (at 9 weeks!). He gave Ryan a smile today too!

Christmas Picture 2008

Well it took us many attempts, but we finally got a good enough picture for this year's Christmas cards! Unfortunately we weren't able to have all of the doggies in the picture, but they were there with us in spirit!

Happy Turkey Day!!

On Thanksgiving we made the trek over to my mom's house to celebrate with all of the family! There were almost 30 people including all of our friends and relatives. We had quite the full kitchen trying to get everything prepared and served to many hungry bellies! The weather was absolutely perfect (high 60's with just a sprinkling of rain) and the food was fabulous! It's so nice to have everyone together under one roof and catch up on what's been going on in everyone's busy lives!
