Worries

Who knew that having a baby could fill you with so much worry? Worry about giving birth (will the baby come out ok? will I survive the pain? will my body ever look the same again?). Worry about being a mom (will I know what to do? what if I'm an awful mom? will I love him enough?). Worry about going back to work. Worry about having enough money to pay for all of the stuff that comes along with having a baby. Worry about still maintaining a good relationship with my husband. Worry about postpartum depression. Will my dogs get along with the baby? What if he cries 24/7? What if he gets sick? I think I'm going to go crazy with all of these worries and he hasn't even arrived yet!

You will be great Christy! One thing I can tell you about being a first time mom is trust your instincts. If I would have done that a little more in the first month after Ashlyn was born, I would have saved myself from a lot of stress! Good luck and know that your friends and family are always here to support you and your family!

Thanks so much Kristi! I just can't believe how the worries all start coming at once towards the end. I hear they get even worse after the baby arrives! I do feel lucky to have such a supportive family and I just need to have faith that everything will be fine. :)

CHristy you will be great! It's important to know....that you will make mistakes and that is okay. The baby will get sick or cry 24/7 and that is okay. ***Alert*** brutal honesty......I have days that I can NOT stand Maecyn, she know all the buttons to push and she pushed them hard. YOu'll have days like that. And..that's okay. Trust your gut, ask for help, sometimes you have to walk away and re-group or take some deep breaths. That is okay! You will be a great mom and you'll be amazed how much better you life is about to get! :)
